Session Summary – 1
A group of very different people were all assembled and paid by a mysterious third party to guard a single cart as it carried general goods between cities. However, before it could reach Fallcrest it was beset upon by a group of goblins apparently led by a man with a red cloak on a large horse. The marauders managed to steal something out of the cart before being dispersed. The group quickly defeated the goblin menace and interrogated some survivors. They were told the way back to the goblin’s lair and so toward the lair they went, after some pleading by Traevus the Dwarf merchant driving the cart..
They arrived to find the entrance slightly guarded but not well enough to pose even the slightest threat. The goblins standing guard were no match for the adventurers and as they ripped through this small spattering of seemingly untrained louts they began to wonder how the goblins ever hoped to overtake the cart in the first place.
The group rested for a while and went about different things; Raven praying and reflecting upon an outcropping of rocks; Marlon and Strathroy going through the bodies looking for survivors; Doc setting up dummies made from leaves and the slain goblin’s clothes; Neah’Meh looting the bodies for the best treasure.
After a short time of resting the group began to hear some sounds coming from further in the cave. They decided to go down a path and toward the sound of the horse, hoping to find the Red Rider. Instead what they found was just the horse…and a room full of goblins…and a drake.
The group fought bravely against the inhabitants of the room and triumphed over all without much trouble at all. Thus leaving them with a very scared horse. Many different ways of calming the horse were tried, including dressing up as a goblin and making soft brushing sounds (Doc), to attempting to kill the horse (Marlon). Eventually it was handled and led to a pool of magical sleepy time water where it fell asleep after taking a drink.

I find myself wondering what other properties that pool of water held. I’m excited by the sheet count of new ingredients! This trip reminds me of trips I used to take with my great aunt Hilda to the darkened forests. We would stand outside the tree line reading the clouds until the right time and then collect berries, herbs, saps… She could make powerful elixirs from the simplest and deceptively benign samplings. I can’t wait to start harvesting even a few of the choice fallen, this place must be filled with treasures!
With a few potions to back them up, half of this crew would be a POWERFUL weapon indeed and the other half are keen to defense. I’m interested in how the dwarf has been fighting, there must be some way I can augment it. I’ll be keeping to the back of the lines for now. These guys don’t seem to like when I just throw their bodies around to fight the enemies so I’ll have to try to find new ways to approach these situations.

Session Summary – 2
A more thorough search of the newly goblin-less room revealed a pair of prisoners held in a room with a scary scarab sigil on the floor. One of the prisoners had been killed and mutilated, seemingly hacked apart at different times for some unknown purpose. The other was still alive but bound and gagged. Removing the gag allowed the character to introduce herself. She was an Elven Wizard without much memory of how she got to where she was. After speaking with her at length about their current goals Raven convinced the wizard, who it was decided would be called “Waffles” until her memory returned, to join the adventuring party as an ally; the Dwarf had been Waffles’ traveling companion before they were captured.
After liberating the room of any loot it was decided to move on through a door to the west, behind which laid in wait a dire rat. Waffles had the idea to try to use the charred corpse of the dwarf (her adventuring companion; the charring happened during an experiment with a magical brazier) to lure the rat into a vulnerable position. It worked perfectly. Neah’Meh deftly stepped up and struck the rat in the head, dealing a sizable amount of damage. The party then quickly finished it off before any sounds could alert people in the following rooms.
More doors lay to the west, and behind those laid in wait more goblins, which of course were destroyed with much ferocity. Neah’Meh also found a trap and attempted to lure some people over to see it activated but everyone was still leery enough of the rogue that they never fully trusted her. Eventually a rug was moved aside and the trap triggered revealing a 10-foot deep pit with extremely smooth walls. The group decided to keep on keeping on and headed through yet another westerly door.
Behind this door sat a large room covered with a checkered floor and some strange stone statues at the other end. It seemed to resemble a chess board and the statues chess pieces. Not too far into the room though and the group triggered a trap and the statues came to life! They moved across the board and began to wreak havoc on the adventurers. Knocking one or two unconscious before being defeated. Waffles had never entered the room so was had not been harmed by the trap. She and the other party members left conscious quickly dragged the rest of the party to safety. If the party couldn’t find somewhere to rest soon they were going to find themselves in poor condition. They quickly retreated to the first room and locked themselves behind a door and took shifts keeping watch.
During the watch many sounds could be heard from afar, people coming and going, arguments breaking out and being resolved, and the horse, who could not have fit within the room, was taken away and tortured.
After the rest they emerged from the room to find it still unoccupied except for the horse, although the horse was now chained again to the wall and spikes driven through its legs and into the stone tiles so as to keep it from moving. Strathroy was able to successfully remove the spikes without doing too much collateral harm and Raven offered a prayer to the Raven Queen for healing and the horse was healed.
Having seen what was to the west the party decided to head through a door to the north this time and investigate. They found a little reptilian creature called a Kobold in the room; it was not very friendly.
They tried to speak with it to learn the way out and it told them to go back the way they had came and that no exit was to be found this way. During their conversation Strathroy had moved up to a defensive position, and his human curiosity getting the better of him, went behind some curtains. Unfortunately he had entered a shrine where some Kobolds were meditating and told to leave…with a javelin.
This led to a fight between the kobolds and the party, although not before Waffles and Doc convinced a Kobold to leave before they were forced to kill him as they did not really mean them harm. Unfortunately one Kobold was able to get away and alert his master, a White Dragon. The dragon came into the room and quickly made short work of the party, using his breath weapon to damage almost everyone. However, this group of adventurers was not about to go down so easily and so they fought back with a fierce strength. Eventually bloodying the dragon it attempted to speak with them but between its arrogant tone and Raven’s intolerance for its face the group continued the assault until the dragon was killed.

Session Summary – 3
A sudden treasure lust befell the group; a desire for pieces of dragon and its hoard. After the adventurers had sated their thirst Doc and Waffles, Strathroy, and Marlon figured out a way to handle the dragon’s freezing eggs in a way that wouldn’t harm the holder. They quickly found that they had to set the eggs down though as they encountered a room filled with goblins. Marlon bravely charged into the room, followed by Nea’hMeh. Waffles tried to float the precious, but freezing, dragon egg into a goblin a few times but the egg-jectile was never able to connect. Raven gloriously helped to keep her teammates up and hitting, even after a hobgoblin charged in through another door to attack the party. He started his assault by attacking Waffles but Neah’Meh and Raven quickly came to her aid. Doc was lobbing magic missiles left and right to help take down the gross creatures. The party decided to rest in this room; with Doc and Waffles having determined that a source of magic lay in the room beyond the group wanted to be prepared for it. After resting they opened the door to the room to find a few skeletons, a hulking zombie ogre and a human who seemed to be Malareth. Waffles waltzed into the room and started perusing the bookshelves, looking for something. Then in charged Marlon followed by Strathroy and Neah’Meh who quickly started laying into the undead abominations which littered the room. Eventually Malareth himself joined the fight but not before his skeleton minions had fell and Doc was shooting down his abomination. Neah’Meh was the one who laid the final blow upon Malareth.

Session Summary – 4
Malareth has been defeated! The group took their time examining the surroundings of the laboratory in which Malareth was working. Waffles was missing though and that was a little weird; although she was messing with teleport stuff. They then left to continue their journey to Fallcrest.
They discovered some interesting things about the skull, such as its necromantic origin and some engravings, and this influenced the dealings they had with Traevus. When they got to Fallcrest the party investigated a magic shop for some extra nifty items and got the local gossip.
They then headed north together in search of what was leading to missing people in the town of Balamb.

Session Summary – 5
A fight was picked on the way to Balamb and the group killed all but one of the raiders. They secretly followed him back to his camp where they found an army of goblinoids. Most of them were sick or suffering from war wounds. The party helped them the best they could but it wasn’t long after that until something began to attack the camp. The menace was unseen as it traveled underground and began to take down the tents.

Neah’Meh saw the threat and alerted the others by firing an arrow into the tent where the group was helping to heal the wounded soldiers. Marlon went outside to assess the threat and promptly alerted everyone else. The party was able to retreat from the camp safely and wound up back at the crossroads. The goblinoid army went off on its own to continue its fight and the party continued north to explore why the town of balamb was missing people.

The adventurers got to Balamb very late and spent the night at the inn. The next morning they “enjoyed” a sub-par breakfast buffet and then set off to explore the town. It appeared that almost everyone was gone and almost all of the shops closed down. When they went to investigate the fields they found a lot of holes in the ground. They sent Flanneltooth down one of the holes but they soon lost contact. They kept exploring and eventually found a very large pit with a bottom which cannot be seen. What lies beyond it’s depths?

Session Summary – 6
The party tried to go down the big hole but found it was quite deep. Waffles sent down her sprite to plumb the depths (math was done to determine how deep and how quickly it moved). Her sprite came back very scared so they decided to investigate the scream they had heard instead. The party found a nice-ish looking house. After some quick investigating they found it was attacked by something and that whatever occupant had only hidden in the bedroom and left the other rooms of the house unused. The party went down the hole to see what they could see and found some treasure (and Flanneltooth) and some mutations…and Kruthiks!

The party went back to the house for an extended rest. During which they took turns keeping watch and a few creepy things happened. After taking an extended rest the adventurers explored the tunnel a little further and found some traps and some more mutations. They overcame these obstacles and decided to keep venturing in.

Session Summary – 8
The party wound their way through the tunnel even more before eventually coming upon some doomspore. After some initial investigation the solution chosen was a ball of fire. This was successful in eliminating the doom spore threat but may have tipped off the voices which could be heard that there was something coming. It was discovered that the voice which was echoing through the tunnel was using deep speech; a language not often found in the more civilized parts of society. Doc snuck over to an opening and listened in. As he was alerting the group to what he had learned a sound began to come from behind the group. Strathroy went to investigate and found a hulking mutation waiting to bash him. Strathroy went flying and the group came to his aid. The lurching mutation was like nothing seen yet and was extremely tough. Another one joined in as the session wound to a close.

Session Summary – 9
The Adventurers continued to battle the lurching monstrosities. With the added help of Marlon who seemed to have phased out for a moment they destroyed all of the monstrosities…although not without some cost. Doc was gravely injured and many of the party members have exhausted themselves in the battle. They decided to take an extended rest in the tunnel…but with mutations, monstrosities, kruthiks, and who knows what else lurking in the caverns will the Adventurers be resting or just waiting for their demise?

Doc: Despite the repercussions (and concussions) of my actions, I felt fully justified in my initial attack approach and I was invigorated by getting to call forth my skills to aid my team. I’m also happy to see that my team was very willing to fight on for me when the chips were down.

Session Summary – 10
The party rested…and what a rest was needed! However, between visions, nightmares, and stampeding Kruthiks not much rest was had. Now the adventurers are running for their lives…but will they live through the Kruthik stampede, and why are they stampeding in the first place?

Session Summary – 11
The party was caught amidst an unending flow of Kruthiks when Waffles brought a bastion of nature and peace into the tunnel with a spell. Somewhat damming the flow of creatures the party was able to catch its breath and plan. Marlon grabbed a passing Kruthik as large as himself, shook it, and demanded to know where it was going. The Kruthik squirmed and spit weak acid in Marlon’s face. Doc chided the bug’s table manners in Deep Speech and proceeded to attempt to converse with it to determine what was going on. While Doc and Marlon tried to speak with a bug Neah’Meh leaped onto the back of a passing Kruthik and sped off into the cavern tunnel. Waffles followed as did Raven; each on their own bug of burden. Doc was able to cast a spell on the beastie Marlon was holding to make it friendlier to their means. The two then released it into the horde and began to follow it to something they could ride away. Raven fell off of her “steed” but Strathroy quickly waded through the tumultuous wave of Kruthiks to right her and send her on her way atop another beast. As Strathroy watched Raven ride out of the tunnel Doc tripped and was trampled, his life leaking away as claw after claw ripped through his back. Strathroy and Marlon heaved him up and eventually made it out of the tunnel. The group stood outside the house and saw a legion of Kruthiks all flooding out of houses and holes in the ground and heading east.
Neah’Meh had ridden her Kruthik very far to the east in an attempt to find where they were going but all that could be seen was further devotion to stay true to the cardinal direction and they showed no signs of tiring.

Session Summary – 12
As the legion moved eastward the party spied an overlord; the Kruthik which Doc had charmed having boarded and motioned for the party to join. They quickly worked up a papoose in which to carry the unconscious Doc and started sprinting toward the Overlord. Marlon made the dash across the quickly disappearing town and deftly leapt upon a tentacle. Waffles likewise made the journey relatively easily and made it to a tentacle. Strathroy had a harder time in his heavier armor making the leap but he made it. Raven missed her leap and were it not for the strong arm of Strathroy keeping her aloft she would have been left alive.
Off on her own in the forest Neah’Meh saw a strange sight in the distance. While the majority of the Kruthiks seemed to have disappeared the sky bore evidence that there were still a few large bugs to be making their way east. Neah’Meh could clearly pick out her co-adventurers hanging on to the tendrils and decided to join them. She deftly climbed a tree and leapt onto the tentacle.
The group, now once again whole, journeyed for a while upon the Overlords. Doc decided to attempt to control the mind of the overlord beast on which they rode and was seemingly successful in forcing it to land…however it was quickly gaining speed. Further attempts were made to slow it down but they seemed to not do much and the beasties continued to pick up speed while plunging toward the ground. The party eventually decided to abandon Overlord and jumped off of it before it hit the ground where it did so with a strange sound. It then began to sink beneath the earth.
Our adventurers decided to start heading south towards the main road with Hammerfast to the east in mind as their destination when they found some orcus cultists. Needless to say they made quick work of the cultists…but what now?

Strange man singing a strange song! Turns out he has a bag and maybe it’s filled with sunshine? Curiosity got the better of Waffles and now there is a fight going down! Neah’Meh was on her own for a moment but quickly caught up. Raven successfully executed a quick ritual but Neah’Meh (the volunteer) suffered…well…we will see next time!

Session Summary – 14
Gibbering Mouther! That’s what the strange man turned into…or was all along and was shape-shifting as a strange man. A burst of dark-light surged into Neah’Meh and she fired an arrow into the back of Strathroy. She never again allowed herself to be possessed in such a way and the group came together to quickly defeat the Gibbering Mouther.
It was a week’s journey to Hammerfast but the party made it eventually. Upon entering the city they saw a large crowd gathered around a makeshift stage with a human tied to a post. A Dwarf dressed in the regalia of the Raven Queen was reading from a scroll of charges leveraged against the man while another Dwarf dressed in the Formal Executioner’s Attire stood with a lit torch waiting for the signal to light the tinder. The man was being burned at the stake for heresy against the Raven Queen and even at this last stand he was defiant. Raven wasn’t about to just stand idly by however and questioned the man in his last moments. The things he said intrigued Raven and she decided to send an even greater message than just a public execution. A public execution in front of his own village. She vouched for the prisoner and stood up on his behalf to have him not executed that day. She then left with Waffles to visit and speak more with the prisoner and also fill out the paperwork for approval to have him transferred into her custody and start the appeal process to change the punishment.
Neah’Meh had a lovely time stealing things from the large crowd which had gathered as well as the regular traders and citizens of the town.
Strathroy went about some private business with the post office when he overheard someone speaking about something of personal interest to him. Strathroy managed to find Doc and the two of them stealthily tracked the man and his compatriate to a bar which, after some schmoozing, was determined to have an “underground” casino inside. When Doc and Strathroy attempted to weasel their way in the bartender sounded the alarm and the bar cleared out. Doc and Strathroy stuck around and tried to find their way into the casino. They managed to find one lever behind the bar but that opened into a hidden antechamber with no obvious ways into the casino. A guard caught them sneaking about and looking for hidden triggers when Doc casted “Instant Friends” on him…the result will have to wait for the next session.
Marlon…Marlon decided to Dwarf up the town a bit.

Session Summary – 15
Doc was successful! The guard was enchanted and began to help Doc and Strathroy search the hidden narthex for the secret passageway. However, while they were able to narrow down the area that likely hid the passage, the captain of the guard found the first. Doc and Strathroy exchanged glances with each other and words with the captain and decided it would be best to just go with the officers. While they were confident they may be able to fight their way out they were not tempted to begin a fight with the entire city guard. They were taken to the local constabulary where they were questioned about the events. Given that the enchantment was still active and there was little evidence that the allegations against them were true they managed to win their freedom. Doc’s clever ruse also ensured the guards got them out of station as soon as possible. They then made their way to the rest of the group at the temple of the Raven Queen.
Marlon was involved in a “Dwarven Scuffle” in a bar. Drinks were had, insults exchanged and three Dwarven gentleman decided they would attempt to educate Marlon in the proper behavior for a Dwarf. However, they were neglecting the fact that Marlon is kind of a bamf and they paid the price. The ultimate price. Marlon killed them in the street with his fists. Fists he held in the air in victory as he was taken into the Raven Queen’s dungeons.
Neah’Meh stole things. She’s pretty good at that.
Waffles and Raven spoke more with the strange heretic they are intent on defending.
The entire party eventually joined together in the dungeons of the Raven Queen’s temple, although only one was actually incarcerated, planned their next steps, and took a much needed rest.

Session Summary – 16
The party awoke in the dungeons and plans were hatched. Raven decided they probably had a better chance to break Caingorm out of the prison than appealing to a triumvirate council so he was quickly ushered into a bag of holding to get through the bars in between guard patrols. Marlon was next to be rescued. Waffles and Doc then went to work with prestidigitation and changed the appearance of both Caingorm and Marlon before escaping the dungeons. The Dwarven guard which had been flirting with Waffles came around and saw the empty jail cells and went to raise the alarm. The group all headed out of the church and to the junction down to the Low Roads while Doc went to the evidence room to regain the Marlon’s possessions. Waffles stayed to levy some damage control on the guards but unexpectedly a whole mess of guards appeared. She directed them to the evidence room hoping that Doc’s ambush would be good enough to take out a majority of the guards.
Doc meanwhile had found the evidence room and discovered that there was an officer Dwarfing a desk to maintain the chain of evidence. Doc convinced the Dwarf that Doc was part of a secret organization, “The Lollipop Guild”. The Dwarf happened to be apart of the same organization and Doc successfully bluffed his way to being able to take some equipment from the evidence room. He managed to leave and be down the hall by the time the guards arrived. Waffles excused herself and she and Doc hurried to the rendezvous point.
While waiting a strange Dwarf approached Marlon and began to converse with him as if he were an old friend. The Dwarf had mistaken Marlon for someone else with his disguise on. It was a strange exchange and was over quickly.
After the party regrouped they got in line for the Low Roads entrance. They discovered there was quite a steep price to enter the Low Roads but in the end Neah’Meh opted to pay for everyone’s entrance in order to expedite their way out of the city.
Once in the Low Roads the party made sure they weren’t being followed and Neah’Meh found the hidden passage that leads to the 7 Pillared Hall and the Thunderspire Labyrinth. The party found two bodies which Strathroy and Doc found familiar. They were the men claiming to have sold some prisoners into slavery. Strathroy found a note on one of the bodies….

Session Summary – 17
The party awakes after a very strange encounter. The corpses found before have become more decrepit and aged visibly. Marlon has also aged very visibly to the tune of hundreds of years. He is also not responsive to the name Marlon and desires to be called, “Earthie McStonerock”, the very same Dwarf which he had been mistaken for in Hammerfast. Before this curiosity can be investigated further however the noise of calloused flesh on rock can be heard scraping behind the party. Soon they are surrounded by some of those mutated creatures last encountered in the Kruthik Kaverns!
The party fought long and hard, many nearly dying, in their attempt to escape the creatures. They eventually made their way to the bottom of the path where they slayed the final monstrosity and were able to take a short rest.

Session Summary – 18
01/26/2014 – The group made it into the 7-Pillared Hall after meeting a cheery Halfling, Rendil Halfmoon. The party rescued Rendil who had been trapped beneath a falling boulder. As the party exited the cavern pathway a large group of people had gathered and accosted the party. One of these individuals was the Ordinator Arcanis, a black cloaked, golden stylized mask, wearing wizard. She took a sample of the silkworms as payment for entrance into the hall and allowed the group to continue on their way.
After becoming acquainted with the features of the hall the group decided to try and buy some weapons and armor. Finding that the prices were currently too high they left dismayed. Doc followed Brugg, an ogre enforcer for the Mages of Saruun, around to find that he delights in his overbearing job. Raven visited the local temple of Erathis to discuss matters with the priest there.
The group entered the Labryinth in the hopes of finding the “Bloodreavers”. The gang that might have bought the prisoners from the prison holding Luusi, Strathroy’s lady-love.

Session Summary – 19
02/06/2014 – The party found themselves staring danger in the face, almost literally! They tried to sneak back and take a different route but Strathroy’s armor drew too much attention and soon the goblins and Hobgoblin were after them! The party retreated up the stairs; defending their rear flank as they went. The goblins went around another way and did not chase the party. Doc eventually lifted himself up the balcony and followed the party. Some of the goblins did try to sneak behind the party but Doc let loose an arc lightning and morphed it into a storm giant blocking the goblin’s path. Even though it was just an illusion it was a convincing one and the little crettins fled! Earthie quickly found a door and determined there were Dwarves on the other side. Waffles opened the door, strutted through, and tried to sue for peace; attempting to convince the Dwarves and goblins that they were just lost and looking for a way out. She even spoke to the goblins in their own language to help sway them to her side. Alas, it was not to be as the party continued to battle the mean looking opponents. The battle raged for quite a while until eventually a few goblins lay slain, the Duergar slain as well, and a Hobgoblin warcaster dead in the water. The rest of the enemies seemed to have fled into another room and were preparing. Neah’Meh didn’t want to give them time to regroup so she led a charge into a doorway to find herself staring down six archers and a Direwolf.

Session Summary – 20
02/20/2014 – Triumph! The party successfully defeated all the goblins and hobgoblins, and bugbear, and that one big wolf. It was a harrowing battle, being so large and lasting so long. But the party defeated their foes! Excellent teamwork from everyone definitely saved the day!

Session Summary – 21
03/08/2014 – Ultra Recap! While in Hammerfast Strathroy discovered that his Lady Love had been moved from her prison and was likely sold into slavery! Likewise other rumors of an underground marketplace intrigued the party members and they found their way in. While making their way to the 7-Pillared Hall the group found a couple of corpses. They were the corpses of the men Strathroy had overheard speaking of selling the prisoners as slaves! The corpses also contained a note which spoke of a slave buyer. It was likely that the man had been returning to collect the rest of his payment, or perhaps just visiting the blackmarketplace. Unfortunately a bunch of mutated abominations attacked the party and they were forced to flee down into the mountain while the caverns collapsed around them.
While in the 7-Pillared Hall the group did some investigating and found the location of the slave-traders. After approaching their location and killing many within they found that the slaves had already been sold!
The party took an extended rest in the lair of the villains and awoke to find the place deserted. Inspecting a statue in one of the rooms yielded strange results. When Waffles attempted to befriend the statue with a cuddly hug it grappled her. When Earthie attempted to batter it with his axe, he too was captured. Doc attempted to appease the statue by extending an offering of sacrifice. He eventually wound up summoning the King that Crawls, Torog. Doc, Waffles, and Earthie were all grasped by the earth as they had all spoken Torog’s name. After some sassy remarks from Raven and some capitulation he left, but not before placing some kind of torturous curse upon Waffles and Earthie.
The group then quickly left the old temple and followed the footsteps of the deserters. This led to a tunnel filled with smoke and as Neah’Meh investigated she was swarmed by Bats. Fire Bats!
Session Summary – 22
03/21/2014 – As their reality crashed around them the party realized that they had been under a spell of some kind by a cloaked wizard! After the spell retreated into his spell book the wizard uttered some curious words before disappearing. Although Neah’Meh did get a crack shot in on his leg before he teleported. He returned briefly to inform the group that he had fixed the Dwarf. Marlon seemed to have been returned; although his incredible aging had still taken place. With Marlon’s faculties returned, albeit his younger appearance was still gone, the group made their way out to the main chamber where what appeared to be the rest of the Bloodreaver gang was moving the corpses of their fallen comrades. The party trapped a single hobgoblin inside the chamber and pressed him for information but ultimately were only able to get a little information from him.
The party began to wander the labyrinth back to the 7-Pillared hall. A scratching sound was heard. A skritchy skratching the likes of which they hadn’t heard since they battled the Kruthiks. Doc took his decaying Kruthik legs from his pack and between his mage hand and him managed to make a scuttling sound similar to that of the Kruthiks. The Kruthiks stopped and the party got out of their before they found out how many, how big, and how angry the Kruthiks were.
However, they were not without some difficulty. On their way back they found a flesh golem wandering the halls. After a great battle they managed to subdue but not without taking heavy casualties. The group healed up and finally made it to their destination.
When the party arrived in the 7-Pillared hall the Ordinator Arcanis was waiting for them with two of those bronze statue Minotaur Warders…
Session Summary – 23
03/29/2013 – The Ordinator Arcanis blocked the group’s entry back into the hall until he had spoken with them. He heard of their exploits destroying the slavers and knows that they are quite capable of defending themselves within the labyrinth. He asked that they figure out the goings ons of one of his order, a mage called “Paldemar”. The party would be rewarded for information pertaining to what he is doing. As a show of good faith he returned the silk worms he had taken ten-fold and enchanted them so that they would cease their decaying. He then left the party to be free to enter the hall.
Raven and Strathroy visited the Temple of Light in the hall to have their extreme critical wounds tended to; Doc accompanied them for a bit but then retired to the inn. Raven was also able to learn the ritual and gain some components to cast it. Waffles and Marlon immediately returned to the inn where she ran into a couple of familiar faces, Dreyfus and Arborn. Neah’Meh plundered the hall’s inhabitants of their riches.
Waffles had a nice chat with the Elven brothers for a bit and then they left to retire to their room. She noticed that they had left behind a small pouch and inside was a letter in a language she did not recognize.
Marlon had a nice chat with a fellow Dwarf who joined him at the bar. He then moved to the table with Waffles and attempted to help decipher the language. Doc joined soon after and attempted to poison Marlon during a game of darts but didn’t notice when Marlon switched the drinks. Doc wound up drinking his own “essence of gibbering mouther” and grew a second set of eyes and a mouth on the back of his head covered by his hair.
Meanwhile Raven was helping out in the Temple of Light. Such reflection and healthy relationships granted her a new insight into her religion.
The next morning, after the party had rested, the group took off in two directions. Waffles headed to Gendar’s Curious Shoppe to see if he had information on the language she discovered. Unfortunately, he only knew what everyone else did. It was an extremely old language of Baphomet, not seen in thousands of years, and that if someone was using it again then Baphomet must again be making moves in the mortal realm.
Marlon, Neah’Meh, Strathroy, Raven, and Doc went to investigate the Grimmerzhul trading post to see what they would find. They found a couple of Duergar tending the shop. They were quite stoic and unfriendly until Doc cast a spell which enchanted one of them to be very friendly. Doc, one of the Duergar, and Marlon went out of the shop in search of a drink leaving Raven, Strathroy, and Neah’Meh behind. Raven attempted to enter another part of the outpost which angered the Duergar and started a fight. Doesn’t this stuff always happen?

Session Summary – 24
04/03/2014 – The party does battle! Raven’s unauthorized entrance into another part of the Grimmerzhul trading post triggered the Duergar to become violent and attempt to force the group to leave. Fortunately the group had managed to separate the members of the trading post making for an easier conquest. The addition of Waffles after a short amount of time only helped to quicken the Duergar’s defeat. One did manage to get away however, who knows what she will be able to accomplish. One Duergar was left alive…who knows what may befall it as the trading post burns down around it.

05/23/2014 – Downtime in the 7-Pillared Hall!
Marlon spoke with a Dwarf he had previously met at the Halfmoon Inn. Marlon’s friend, Jet, told him many things among which were that Marlon could drink free today. When Marlon approached the bar the bartender also mentioned that there was an item for Marlon. It was another cryptic map!
Raven went into the Temple of Hidden Light and discussed some things with Phaledra, after which she stayed and prayed in quiet contemplation.
Neah’Meh tried to steal but was stopped, however, she did manage to get a key ring off the guard that stopped her. She was later apprehended by Brugg who questioned her about the attack on the Grimmerzhul Trading post; she managed to convince Brugg that it was a Dwarf that was responsible. Later she had great fun looting some more things…and she may have killed someone too.
Doc went on a shopping trip and left quite a few cryptic messages with a few people. What is that guy up to?
Waffles returned to the Halfmoon Inn and spoke with Dreyfus. Dreyfus asked Waffles for help with his brother. Apparently he has fallen in with some disreputable folk and naively believes it will be for the best.
Strathroy, after a long moment of contemplation, decided to head off into the Labyrinth on his own. After wandering around for a few hours he wound up back in the hall.
Waffles and Raven tracked down someone that would be able to help guide them through the Hall and guilt-tripped him into doing it for free.
The group eventually made their way into the Labyrinth together to meet up with Dreyfus and Arborn. When they approached the meeting place they heard voices and upon viewing discovered that the people who the brothers had allied themselves with were the Kruthiks, and they had been bringing them messages written in the ancient language of Baphomet! The Kruthiks suddenly attacked the brothers, seemingly killing them both. Arborn’s neck had been snapped but Dreyfus was able to be saved but is still unconscious. After stabilizing him the party continued to work their way to the Horned Hold, the hidden keep of the Grimmerzhul clan.

Session Summary – 26
05/28/2014 – A crowd of Orcs are visible inside the first stronghold of the Horned Hold. They seem to be on watch for something and much more disciplined than your usual band of Orcs. Doc sent his owl familiar to investigate and got a good view of the room and its occupants. It was, however, shot out of the sky when he attempted to recall it. Through the use of prestidigitation Waffles and Doc changed Strathroy’s appearance to resemble a Half-Orc and he attempted to barter with the Orcs there. He managed to gain an audience with a Duergar who claimed to be of some influence and was offered a to enter. Strathroy, fearing that the group would be separated jammed his sword into the gate so it would not close. This enraged the vain Duergar as he had forged the portcullis himself. He stormed off and as Strathroy began to walk away Neah’Meh strode out and struck an Orc with an arrow.
BATTLE!
The party fought valiantly and quickly routed the Orcs. Four managed to flee further into the hold and our heroes stand triumphant in the entry hall wondering if they should give chase or recover. Session Summary – 27
06/07/2014 – The party decided to press on and retain their advantages from spells but have no opportunity to rest or regain some abilities. The party didn’t care though, they were feeling tough. They cautiously entered the hallway beyond; very aware of a possible ambush should they push too far ahead. The group thoroughly checked all the doors and were rewarded for their caution by finding some of the Orcs which had fled. They quickly and easily dispatched them and continued on their search. The next room held many beds and a disgusting “chamber-pot room”. It also held a cryptic note, “Count the pillars, Doc” with the symbol of the Raven Queen at the bottom. Curious!
Neah’Meh heard Giant being spoken beyond a large set of double doors and urged more caution to the group. The decision was made to enter through the side door, they found themselves in a room with a well and a door looking out into a larger room with a blazing furnace, an anvil, and a couple of enemies; a Duergar and an Orc from the first fight. Strathroy entered the room with Marlon and began to fight those two foes. Waffles entered next and cleverly used her Watery Sphere spell to block an entrance to another room, effectively cutting off any support. Doc then attempted to use Arc Lightning to arc weld the door’s hinges shut but wasn’t able to finish before a Duergar opened up a door and started blasting the group with spells. The party fought hard and eventually overcame the fight. Even after the last two Duergar went invisible and attempted to get away…emphasis on attempted. That was where we left our adventurers…

Session Summary – 28
06/11/2014 – The party decided to take their extended rest in the sleeping room of the hold. They arranged a watch and Neah’Meh’s Fey Panther helped to keep a nose on things. They almost made it through but before the Rest had ended they were attacked by a patrol who had been sent to discover what had happened. The group fought them off even though they were pinned into a single room. After wrecking the patrol the group searched the area, found some loot, and are now deciding what to do.

7/23/2014 – Party rested and fought a dream battle involving strange Docs. Then the party woke and fought a real battle against Duergar. The battle was not completed by the end of the night.
